At the time I had 50 days in a row and going for 100, but lounging around the pool seemed like a better use of my time. That said, I could justify almost anything I do with an excuse that seems valid. The truth is, there are none, committing to something is simply a choice and following through is a testament to ones character.
So fast forward to this morning and waking up to a text from my account director on his way to a meeting in Sacramento to present a website that I've been working on for a week. "We have to change the copy, it can't say party." Now I'm faced with a choice, go surfing and stay at minus 10, or go to the office and fix the problem.
Surfing everyday puts a massive stress on the thin fabric I call my life, but without it I feel like there is nothing grounding me in something I truly love. And so I move on, missing yet another day.
Minus 11.
